Curry pastes, chutneys and pickles – Indian delicacies are very popular. And not only in Great Britain. AB World Foods, which specializes in Indian and Asian foods, ships its products to all corners of the globe – and as quickly as possible.
TWICE RENNER S MODULE
Early food pioneers such as L. G. Pathak and G Costa brought new taste sensations to British homes for home cooking as early as the 1950s and 1970s. Today, the Patak’s and Blue Dragon brands are internationally renowned. To keep up with growing demand, AB World Foods ordered a RENNER S1200 module three years ago for its Leigh site near Manchester through distributor PENN Packaging. The task of the docked wet glue module: to label seven different jars of sauces at a rate of up to 30,000 units per hour, and with labels up to 220 millimeters long. After good experience with this, a second modular labelling machine followed for a paste line, which in addition to a body label up to 215 millimeters long, also applies a self-adhesive tamper-evident label to four different jars.
