The Hofbrauhaus Berchtesgaden is a reliable name in the region. The mission of the brewery, founded in 1645, is to supply the country with “good beer” and to do a lot for the community. For example, traditional costume clubs, music bands, sports clubs, the volunteer fire department and children’s and youth projects are only some of the supported activities.
CRAFTSMANSHIP AND MODERN TECHNOLOGY
A significant basis for the social commitment is efficient brewery technology. Which lead to the fact that at the beginning of 2025, the 37-year-old labelling machine was finally replaced by a RENNER S600. This unit can label up to 15,000 pieces of 0.5 l Euro or 0.33 l Vichy bottles per hour with chest and body labels. A second unit for a back label can be retrofitted at a later point if required by the company. Thanks to the integrated label and fill level control, defective products are now automatically rejected and turned back. “The instructions and plans provided by RENNER for connecting the modified belts were exactly right,” says brewmaster Klaus Hesselbach happily. “Installation and commissioning went like genuine clockwork.”

In addition to the good reputation and short response times, the high quality of the mechanical engineering also spoke in favour of RENNER. Hesselbach recognizes this, among other things, in the consistent use of stainless steel and the design that is thought-through and well-engineered down to the last detail, resulting in a modern manufacturing process. “In contrast to working with corporations, the contacts at RENNER are easy to reach; they answer questions competently, and quickly find targeted solutions. Of course, the design was also customised for us so that the new machine could fit through the bottling plant’s low gate without dismantling, and operations could begin on schedule.”
