It is less than twenty years since Christof Schenk planted his first elderberry crops in Ufhofen, Switzerland. Holderhof Produkte AG now produces not only high-quality syrups, punches and juices, but also dried herbs and fruit purees. A constant companion to rapid growth: the high-performance labelling technology from RENNER.
SIMPLY CUT PAPER LABELS
After the positive experience with the first two RENNER machines for the main site in Henau, the up-and-coming company ordered a third for the fruit processing centre in Sulgen, which was newly built in 2022. There, the new RENNER S600 Pre-Cut machine applies pre-cut wrap-around paper labels to jars of fruit puree as well as bottles of smoothies and fruit juices. Thanks to a highly efficient spray gluing system from Robatech, the four current container formats are labelled with minimal glue usage. More can formats will follow at a later date.
EFFICIENT DRIVE WITH SERVO BELT
“The simple and continuously adjustable drive of the ten turntables via a servo-controlled belt is more cost-effective than servo-controlled bottle turntables, but just as wear-free and low-maintenance,” explains production manager Michael Köpfli, describing the specific advantages of the selected technology. “We now have three machines with different processes, all of which operate reliably. Spare parts for them are all available long-term.” Will there be another order of a machine soon? “We are observing the market and there are many opportunities,” reveals Köpfli. “It’s good to have a reliable partner at our side when it comes to labelling.”
